Installing an LrBaggs anthem pickup on a Martin 000 -10e

So, the other day I received this very beautiful acoustic guitar for a small service in regard with its pickup. In the specific case the pickup was installed to it and the problem was that the preamp had fallen inside the guitar and the cables weren't tidy enough. Therefore, it was best that we would take everything out and place them back inside and in a better order. Everything besides the microphone that was stuck under the bridge.

So after taking everything out, the first thing I did was to clean the old tape under the sound hole and where the preamp was located by removing the most of it and eventually

sanding lightly with a 220 grit sandpaper. Once this was done I tried to test fit the pickup

before sticking it under the rosette and in my surprise I noticed that the pickup wouldn't

stick under the top of the guitar because the brace was too tall for the clearance that the pickup was allowing.

Therefore in order to increase the amount of clearance I used a piece of laminated wood which I cut in more or less the shame shape of the legs of the pickup. By the way that piece of wood was approximately 7mm thick which cutting it in half gave me precise the thickness i needed to increase the height of the preamp. Hooray!

Once the pieces were cut, lightly sanded and cleaned, then I stuck them on the preamplifier's original tape that was still there unused.

Subsequently, I added another layer of double side stick tape on top of those wooden

pieces and stuck them firmly under the top of the guitar.

Wooden pieces stuck on the preamp and before sticking the double side stick tape to them.

The rest of the process was tiding up the cables inside the guitar, tuning the strings and testing.
